Hybla Digitalis

Hybla Dgitalis
expressing a childhood memory
White-speckled ‘lizarines and pinks, tall spires of bulbous bells,
Beneath the shades of generous leaves where pouting lips unfurl;
Where Hybla’s workers search translucent cups in pearly lights
And snugly creep in caverns deep and thus fulfil sweet appetites!
Foxes’ gloves for bumbling bees in which their fury bottoms squeeze!
Bagging pollen, sucking wine, the sweetest in the harvest time!
