Poetry

Under Spectrum

See, the opposing light to storm replies
Through firmamental veils of coloured rain;
Dividing in a spectrumned paradise
Against the thunderous clouds that rise again.

A blushing light invades the pillowing storm
Pervading fusion’s flush of prismal blends;
Bathes o’er the brick and hedge of village forms
From whence a rising bow of rain extends.

This momentary structure of the skies:
A polychrome of arched and banded lights!
Such height, so vast, to feed aspiring eyes
With Covenanted Promise that delights!
